Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah vice-chancellor says this will depend on the outcome of its disciplinary proceedings.

PETALING JAYA: The university student who was charged with desecrating the Quran yesterday will know next week if he will be expelled.

Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah vice-chancellor Yatimah Alias said a decision would be made following the outcome of its disciplinary proceedings, Bernama reported.

“The disciplinary proceedings are being carried out in accordance with the Universities and University Colleges (UMPSA) (Student Discipline) Rules 2024 and the penalties include expulsion if the student is found guilty,” she was quoted as saying.
