Tanjung Aru candidate Junz Wong claims Election Commission officers imposed sudden restrictions and are exercising double standards in enforcement.

KOTA KINABALU: Warisan vice-president Junz Wong has accused the Election Commission of putting pressure on the party’s campaign, claiming that officers have been shadowing its candidates and imposing sudden restrictions not seen in previous elections.

Wong, who is vying for the Tanjung Aru seat, said he had “never seen the EC behave like this” in his 18 years in politics.

“EC officers have been following our candidates with cameras everywhere we go, recording everything. They even advised our candidates not to interact too much with the people.
