PETALING JAYA: Coroner Amir Shah Amir Hassan was left shocked and disappointed during the Zara Qairina Mahathir inquest after being told that an important document related to the student’s death was not handed over to the police for investigation.
SMK Agama Tun Datu Mustapha teacher Nur Shukriah Fauzi told the Kota Kinabalu coroner’s court that the document contained the written statements of Zara’s schoolmates, which were taken a day after she was found unconscious.
“The witness said the important document was never handed to the police,” said lawyers acting for Zara’s mother Noraidah Lamat, according to Harian Metro.
