PETALING JAYA: A former federal minister has added to growing calls for the tabling of the Urban Renewal Bill to be postponed, adding that the proposed legislation should not be rushed.
In a post on X, Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad of PKR said that the Urban Renewal Act would have a “major impact” on the future of Malaysia’s cities and on the country as a whole.
“It should not be rushed but should instead be deliberated upon judiciously and inclusively.”
